Kami Banks, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.C., F.A.S.E., is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with board certifications in general cardiology, cardiac CT, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Banks completed medical training at the world-renowned University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she later joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. In this role, she served as attending physician at Clements University Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital, Medical Director of the Cardiology Outreach Clinic in Richardson, Texas, and Cardiovascular Liaison for a local professional athletic organization. Dr. Banks joined Texas Health Physicians Group in 2018, where she expanded her leadership and clinical skills as Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation, cardiac CT expert, and member of the board of directors.

Dr. Banks has received numerous awards from peers and patients, including being named one of D Magazine’s Best Doctors for many years. She is now bringing her award-winning clinical expertise and personalized, compassionate care to a new practice: Triple Crown Cardiology.

What does a cardiologist do?

An echocardiogram is a painless ultrasound that evaluates your heart's structure, valves, and pumping function.
A stress test evaluates how your heart performs during exercise or medication-induced stress to help detect reduced blood flow or abnormal heart rhythms.
Some results are available the same day, while others require physician review. Our team will discuss your results and treatment recommendations as soon as they are available.
Should I stop taking my medications before testing?
Unless specifically instructed by your provider, continue taking your medications as prescribed. Certain tests may require temporary medication adjustments, and our staff will provide instructions beforehand.
Yes, we refill cardiac medication. Please request prescription refills several business days before your medication runs out.
What insurance plans do you accept?
